Student Travel Awards

The IEEE Magnetics Society is offering a limited number of travel grants to students attending TMRC 2013 who are working in the field of magnetism and magnetic materials. Grants of up to $1000 are intended to partially offset travel costs to the conference.

To be eligible for a conference travel grant a student must present a paper at the conference, be enrolled in a Ph.D. or masters program, and must not have previously received a conference or Magnetics Society travel grant. Postdoctoral fellows, undergraduates or non-students are not eligible. The student's advisor must be a member of the Magnetics Society and must write a letter of recommendation. A second letter of recommendation must be received from another member of the Magnetics Society. Only one application per research group will be accepted. Preference will be given to students who are nearing completion of their graduate studies and are student members of the Magnetics society.

Applications for these awards are now closed. Shortly after the conference, grant recipients must submit a short account of their experience for possible inclusion in the Magnetic Society Newsletter.
